Michael J. Bland, Psy.D., D.Min., L.C.P.C.

Dr. Bland is a clinical professional counselor who works as a therapist, a professional consultant and a psychometrician. In his clinical work, Dr. Bland specializes in individual and couples therapy, as well as cognitive and mental health assessment of children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Bland has earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, as well as a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Catholic Theological Union and a Doctorate in Ministry (D.Min.) in clinical pastoral counseling from the Chicago Theological Seminary.

Dr. Bland was an original member of the National Review Board for the Protection of Children and Young People for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops serving from 2002-2007. He also worked for the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Victim Assistance from 1992-2007.

Dr. Bland has a wide-range of experience in providing outreach to victims/survivors of sexual abuse including providing individual counseling and group therapy for survivors and their families. Dr. Bland also has 20 years experience providing direct clinical services to adolescents and adults with post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, as well as individuals dealing with identity issues, life changes including vocational, employment, and relational issues, grief/loss, and geriatric issues in various clinical settings.

He is a nationally known consultant providing clinical and pastoral consultations to dioceses, religious communities, and other church related agencies. He is also a consultant to other not-for-profit and for profit agencies. Dr. Bland is himself a survivor (victim) of clergy sexual abuse as a minor.



Peter B. Silvain, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter Silvain is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is also a consultant in matters of complex injury for casualty and workers' compensation carriers, reinsurance and self-insured companies throughout the United States. He has lectured on the subject of psychological injury before 18,000 claims, law and medical professionals from 500 groups and associations, including the American Bar Association and the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr, Silvain trained at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he studied the psychological effects of genetic disorders. He also served in the USMC, the New York State Police and as a chief federal criminal investigator in Washington, D.C. His offices are now in Ormond Beach, Florida.




Pamela H. Silvain, Ph.D.

Dr. Pamela Silvain is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She conducts case analysis for insurance claims offices, including The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc. (TNCRRG), in matters of psychological injury including organic brain syndrome and emotional harm. She is an author of The Defense Deposition Atlas, 2nd Edition, an 800 page text for the cross-examination of psychiatric and psychological witnesses. Her research specialization, The Differential Diagnosis in Forensic Psychiatry; was conducted at the University of Maryland at College Park.

Dr. Pamela Silvain has many years experience as a Senior Case Analyst in claims of organic brain syndrome, PTSD, depressive illness, chronic pain syndrome, sexual abuse and other complex injury matters. She has been President of MEDPsych Systems, Inc. for over 20 years. Her offices are in Ormond Beach, Florida.
