This training will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (16000 West 143rd Street, Olathe, KS) in the Marian Room located on the main level of our School. For those not familiar with Prince of Peace, please enter our property from 143rd St. using the east/main entrance (by the parish marquee sign). Please park in one of the parking lots on your left. You will be looking at a U-shape of buildings; enter the building on the right with "Prince of Peace School'' mounted above the entrance. The Marian Room is located straight ahead.
Please arrive early to check-in as we make every effort to begin the session promptly at 6 PM. Please be aware, we are unable to admit late-comers once the class has begun. While we do understand traffic incidents, work-related meetings that run late, and late babysitters, we truly are unable to make exceptions. For those not familiar with Johnson County, the highways and interstates do tend to back up quickly if there is a traffic incident, so please allow extra time just in case you do encounter a backup. You do need to attend the entire session to receive credit for attending.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you need to either have a parent attend with you or bring a completed/signed Parental Permission Form with you the night of the session; you will not be admitted without a parent or a signed parental permission form. As I know we frequently have high school students who will be in attendance, for your convenience, you can download and print a Parental Permission Form from the Archdiocesan website. Without parental permission we are not able to admit anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances.
Childcare is not provided and children under the age of 16 cannot be present in the session. For safety reasons, your children cannot be left to play in our lobbies, hallways, or playgrounds while you are in class.
If you need to leave back-up emergency contact information with a babysitter, please provide them with 913-687-5555. You will be asked to silence your phones and other mobile devices during the class. The number above accepts both calls and texts and goes directly to me (Ashley Vardijan) during the class.
If you did not initiate a background check and complete documents online when you pre-registered for this session, please speak with the person in charge of Virtus related needs at your parish, school, or religious organization. |
