Blessings in the New Year 2021!

Happy New Year! We made it through 2020! Thanks be to God! Everyone who lives and breathes in the universe cannot wait to hit the reset button and start anew for 2021, not looking for a moment in the rear-view mirror. There is so much to be thankful for as we start the New Year. It is always the best practice to begin and end with Thanks, and so we pray…

Lord, We Thank You!
For the gift of life and being able to see the sun each morning and the moon at night,
For knowing that You love us tremendously and will never leave us to face our perils alone,
For our families and friends who laugh and cry with us; support us and challenge us,
For the blessing of creation and all of the beauty that the seasons unfold for us,
For the gift of intellect, and the brilliant minds who create cures and develop new medicines to keep us healthy,
For the gift of Grace that permeates our lives and sustains us through the difficult times,
For the gift of Love that propels us to do great things for ourselves, for others and for God,
For the gift of Peace that draws us to others and creates environments of safety, understanding and acceptance,
For the great gift of Joy that unites us with others and is the cause of much sharing and uniting,
For the gift of Faith which brightens our darkness and enlightens us to paths of wholeness and peace,
For the gift of Forgiveness which allows us to move forward in our lives with a profound sense of who we are as Baptized Christians.
Amen.
