A blessed and holy Christmas season to you, your families, friends, and loved ones!

Everyone at the VIRTUS® family wishes you abiding peace, love, and joy during this most joyous of holy days. Most especially, our prayerful wish for you is precious time. Time for you to enjoy some “alone space” to ponder the blessings of the newborn Prince of Peace, and time for you to join with those you love to celebrate and rejoice in all that God has given you.

The people of God waited so long for their King to come and save them. They prayed often and longed for their Savior to appear. They pined for His presence to be among them—to save them from their sufferings and to show them the way to peace. The great prophet Isaiah (8th Century B.C.) was one of those who waited and prayed patiently for the savior to come. He prophesied of the virgin birth of Jesus with beautiful words—words we hear today sung in Handel’s magnificent Messiah.

When He finally came it was probably not at all what they expected. No royal announcements, processions, or fireworks. No lavish banquets, feasts, or celebrations. Instead he arrived a powerless baby, born in a lowly manger of two humble parents. What a paradox! Little did they know what great power was born that day in the form of an infant.

In our hearts, each of us prays that Jesus will bless us with what we need and want—oftentimes, they are two different things, and what we receive in response to our prayers causes us to marvel at His wisdom. Placing our faith in the Baby Jesus is an act that makes each of us vulnerable, but this is exactly where we need to be.

May this prayer fill your heart with peace, and may the infant Jesus come to you in ways more powerful than imaginable.

Wonderful Jesus, fill me with the Grace that I need to face my life with truth and dignity

Counselor Lord, bless me with the wisdom I need to see the path and direction I need to take.

Mighty God, be with me when I need you most.

Everlasting Father, continue to pour your love into my heart that I might love all whom I encounter immediately without question or pause.

Prince of Peace, breathe your sweet breath over all of us and the lands we inhabit. Draw us close to yourself, so that we live for peace and love alone.

Amen.
